In order to capture those adorable sleepy curled up poses you should have your newborn session pre-arranged to capture him/her ideally in the first 6-12 days from birth.

You only get one chance for newborn photos
As any parent will tell you the first few weeks after having your baby will flash by in a blur. Because of the time and care necessary we only take on a limited amount of newborns. You are encouraged to book as early as possible, ideally before your baby arrives. Sessions are scheduled 6-12 days after birth but should we need to delay your session for any reason, such as a ‘C’ section, we have managed up to 25 days without any issues. Once you have your session booked we can move it around if your baby arrives early or late.
You’ll find that the most popular newborn photographers are in constant demand and get booked early. If you wait until your baby arrives, you may find that your preferred photographer is not available and you risk disappointment.

How to choose your newborn photographer
There is no official qualification necessary in order to set up as a newborn photographer. This makes it vital that you choose yours very carefully. Baby safety should be a primary consideration, has the person been trained to handle your baby safely?
What about their experience? Is this person able to comfort and soothe your baby and position him or her in newborn poses?
Do they have an established studio with a full range of equipment and props at hand to cater to all tastes and be able to produce work you absolutely love?
Although it might seem more convenient to have someone come to your home this can be far from ideal. With less space to work in and just a few props and background limits what can be captured.
