Preparing For Your Boudoir Photoshoot

Trying to figure out what to wear when preparing for your boudoir session?
We’ve got a few tips to help you out: 

Choosing your Outfits

Lingerie is great it’s what makes you feel sexy. A boudoir session is all about revealing your sensual side, so if your putting on badly fitting or unsuitable underwear and it makes you feel uncomfortable, try other options.
If your treating yourself with a new outfit there are many brands to try from Ann Summers have a wide range or if your after something a little more exotic then Agent Provocateur, Versace or La Perla might be more in keeping, check out trendspotter for more ideas.

You can opt for lingerie that flatters your favourite parts. If you’ve got a shapely bottom choose something that really shows of that feature. Maybe he loves you’re your curves and you want to show him the goods, too. Choose  pieces that accentuates your best features you love most about yourself.

Consider when preparing for your boudoir session what your partner likes, too. Maybe he loves you in his favourite colour, or that baby doll number you wore a couple years ago. If he’s into sports or a certain hobby, play into that, as well.

Of course you don’t have to wear anything that’s over revealing it if you don’t want to. Your partners button down shirt, or his sports top, oversized sweater, even a tight shirt and booty shorts are great alternatives. But it’s important to make sure you try on your outfits  before your session to check out everything fits properly and looks great.

Accessories for boudoir

Make sure you think about  jewellery, shoes, figure hugging slips, etc. Pack anything you need to get ready for your session. Your shoes matters, too. we suggest keeping it simple. opt for shoes that scream sexy sophistication. Heels also help by accentuating legs. For props, we suggest bringing personal items that are significant to you and your partner – sports gear, hats, gloves etc.

Hair and Makeup preparation

We provide make up and hairstyling as part of your beauty experience, but please let us know if there is anything special you would like to try.

Our Studio

You have the private use of our studio which has several shooting areas over 3 floors, this includes our main studio area, lounge and bedroom sets.

Comfort Level

Where is your comfort level? 
We like to be aware of your expectations in advance before starting your session to avoid any awkward moments. Let us know what you are comfortable with and how revealing you want to be during your session. 

Pre-Session Beauty Prep

We suggest getting a mani/pedi a few days prior to your session. If you wax, don’t forget to pencil that into your schedule, as well. Also if you want to have a base tan for your photos, we recommend beginning to tan a few weeks prior to your session to avoid burning – and remember to think about your outfit and avoid any tan lines that will look bad in photos. We suggest staying away from spray tans. Don’t forget to get your eyebrows shaped before your session.

A few days before your session, lower your salt intake to avoid bloating and also eat a light breakfast on  the morning of. Drink a lot of water leading up to your session for beautiful, healthy skin and get a good night’s rest the night before. Shave and moisturise for beautiful legs. Wear a clear deodorant. Don’t wear tight clothing, bras, panties, socks, etc. the morning of your session or driving to your session. These will leave red marks on your skin and we want you looking your best.

Relax

The most important thing you can do is relax. We will make sure you look amazing in your photos, so don’t worry! If you’re uncomfortable, it will show, so just keep calm.
